Mirch

Mirch is a forthcoming 2009 Hindi film that stars Konkona Sen Sharma , Raima Sen and Shahana Goswami who will be playing lead roles. The film is directed by Vinay Shukla.




Filming of Mirch started in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The film is basically based on four short stories related with the issues of women emancipation. Raima Sen and Konkona Sen Sharma stars in two of these short stories.

The film also casts Ila Arun, Sushant Singh, Boman Irani, Prem Chopra, Raima Sen, Tisca Chopra, Pitobash Tripathy, Saurabh Shukla, Rajpal Yadav, Shreyas Talpade, Shahana Goswami, Arunoday Singh, Pushkar Shrotri and Mahie Gill. We hope that this comedy drama works out well.

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is a strange romantic comedy film. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Upen Patel in lead roles with Salman Khan making a special appearance. Some portions of the movie were shot at Ooty, Mumbai, Goa and Turkey. The movie is set to release on November 6, 2009.




The film casts are Ranbir Kapoor, Darshan Jariwala, Govind Namdeo, Smita Jaykar, Navneet Nishan, Mithilesh Chaturvedi, Zakir Hussain, Jagdeep, Akul S Tripathi, etc.

Ranbir kapoor will look awesome in eight different roles that he has donned in the film. The actor will portray the role of a pathanwala, halwaiwala, a corporate officer, Charlie Chaplin.

The music of the movie is produced by Pritam and the lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil and Ashish Pandit. DJ Suketu has remixed the songs and they are arranged by Aks. The music has been launched.

Guzaarish

After giving brilliant performance in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s flick Jodha Akbar, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen together once again sharing their amazing chemistry on-screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directed film Guzaarish. The film will be on floors around the first part of 2010, soon after Kites after the post-production stage.



Sanjay Bhansali has already commenced looking for locations that will enhance the theatric aspect of the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will also co-produce the venture in company of UTV motion Pictures. This forthcoming flick is believed to be a remake of "The Prestige".

Jail

After giving successful bunch of movies like Page3, Corporate, Traffic Signal and Fashion and winning the National Award, Madhur Bhandarkar alongwith Percept Picture Company is back with another film, Jail. The movie is produced by Shailendra Singh.



The movie is based on Parag Dixit (Neil Nitin Mukesh), lives life to the fullest and this man has everything fame, money, status and his love of life Maansi (Mughda Ghodse).

The movie how fate takes a repulsive turn for the character played by Neil Nitin Mukesh who finds himself behind the bars. The world of uneasiness in Jail and torture is shown in the movie.


Madhur Bhandarkar through his film has tried to showcase the real picture of the victims who spent their lives in Jail and suffer from the torture. Jail is an overall journey of drama, action and a man’s fight for his rights. Other casts of the film are Manoj Bajpai, Arya Babbar, Rahul Singh, Manish Mehta.

Pankh

Pankh is a 2008 Bollywood film which is written and directed by Sudipto Chattopadhyaya. The film features Bipasha Basu, Lilette Dubey, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ronit Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh and newcomers Maradona Rebello and Amit Purohit.




Bipasha Basu plays an imaginary character. Newcomer Maradona Rebello will be playing the character of Jerry. Other lead of the film Amit Purohit plays Salim. The movie also has Mahesh Manjrekar who has made a comeback as an actor. Sanjeeda Sheikh of Nach Baliye 3 fame was chosen for a character who is less than 17 years of age.

Do Knot Disturb

Produced by Vashu Bhagnani, directed by David Dhawan Do Knot Disturb was released on October 2, 2009. The film features Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Sohail Khan, Ranvir Shorey, Rituparna Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Pahwa.





Govinda plays a rich husband who is married to Sushmita Sen. At the same time Govinda also has been having an affair with Lara Dutta who plays Dolly's character who is an item queen who has dumped her ex (Sohail Khan) for greener pastures. Govinda’s kicked out butler Nandu (Rajpal Yadav) in an attempt to get back at him clicks a photo of him with Dolly and sends it to his wife.

When you enter a film like Do Knot Disturb, logic should be the last thing on your mind. In the movie you will see a two timing husband who is no more a novelty on screen and Govinda and David Dhawan have churned out many films revolving around this theme earlier. But this time they have failed together.

Nadeem Shravan’s music is dated like the film’s jokes barring the Bebo number. Sets are gaudy and camerawork functional. Govinda can create a laugh riot amongst the audiences if he decides to do so but in this flick in some comic sequences the actor has lost his humor.

Ritesh Deshmukh on the other side is much subdued and likeable as the greedy waiter. Lara Dutta looks great and with her acting she has displayed good flair for comedy. Sushmita Sen is hardly there in the first half and is not seen in the second right till the climax.

Ranvir Shorey is funny but skips to tickle your laughter bone. Sohail Khan’s character could have been developed more as he is genuinely funny in his angry moments. Rajpal Yadav and Manoj Pahwa manage a few laughs. Rituparna Sengupta hardly gets any scope.

Do Knot Disturb is a comeback of the No.1 series trio of producer Vashu Bhagnani, director David Dhawan and Govinda but alas they need to work more this time !!
