Ghajini - Biggest Blockbuster 2009

Finally, Aamir has proved himself one more time through his new blockbuster "GHAJINI". Ghajini has broken all previous records. Ghajini emerged as the biggest opener of all time. The film has grossed Rs. 20 cr. net in its first two days. The collections of Ghajini is world-shaking. According to movie distributor Studio 18 "The film collected approx. Rs. 1.6 cr. net in paid previews, approx. Rs. 8.25 cr. nett on limited screens and shows (on Thursday) and approx. Rs. 10.15 cr. net (on Friday)".

In very first week, Ghajini collected approx. Rs. 42 cr. nett (approx. Rs. 70 cr. gross) in India, which is an all-time record. Second week is also going on-cloud as 70-80% collection has been already made as yet in second week of release. Not only in India but also in overseas collections are very high. Ghajini has fetched an overwhelming start in America and Australia and despite a 15 certificate, is impressive in U.K. Ghajini has ranked at No. 7 position in UK and in its opening weekend, it has collected approx. Rs. 2.24 crores on 49 screens. This is the over-whelming response in overseas for the action-pack movie. While, in US, Ghajini has debuted at No. 21 position. In its first week, the film has collected approx. Rs. 6.72 crores on 82 screens.

All these earth-shattering figures add up to only one fact that Ghajini seems to be all set for delivering huge record at the box office that might very soon make it the biggest blockbuster of the year 2009.

After the grand success of Taare zameen Par, Mr. perfectionist Aamir khan comes with his new saga GHAJINI. Ghajini is the Hindi version of the critically acclaimed film Memento by Christopher Nolan. Ghajini will feature Aamir Khan, Debutant Asin Thottumkal and Jiah Khan in lead roles and will be directed by A. R. Murugadoss, who also directed the Tamil version of the film in 2005. Ghajini is an suspense thriller story from A.R.Murugadoss who has made popular films of this genre.

Aamir Khan - Sanjay Singhania is a rich businessman who owns a cellular phone company named Air Voice. Sanjay sees Kalpana (Asin) first time and falls in love with kalpana.

Asin - Kalpana Thottumkal is an advertisement model who advertise that she is the love interest of Sanjay, in spite of her having never met him.


Jiah Khan - Sunita is a medical college student who helps Sanjay to find the killers of his girlfriend Kalpana.


Story of Ghajini

GHAJINI is a revenge saga which resolves around Sanjay Singhania , a rich businessman.Kalpana , an advertisement model goes around telling her advertisement crew that she is the love interest of Sanjay, in spite of her having never met him and also goes to the extent of giving an interview about her relationship to a popular magazine. At the same time, sanjay also catch the rumour about him through media and wants to settle down with her.

One day, Sanjay sees a charming girl on his way when he goes to Kalpana to settle scores. It is the time when sanjay falls in love with that girl. It is love at first sight for Sanjay. When he reaches to studio, he finds that Kalpana is the same girl , he saw a while ago. But sanjay hides the facts from her that he is Sanjay and introduce him as Manohar. Kalpana eventually falls in love with him. Once, while kalpana travels on train, she saves a group of girls from a group of goons led by Lakshman (Pradeep Rawat). After a few days, the same goons come to Kalpana's home to take back revenge for their embarrassment. At the same time, sanjay arrives there and fights with group of goons to save his girlfriend but unfortunately Kalpana is murdered. Lakshman then strikes Sanjay on his head severely with a metal rod.

After being hit on his head, he suffers from a short term memory loss. He does not remember anything that happened more than 15 minutes back. Then, He determines to take revenge on those responsible for Kalpana's death. The only clue he has is the name that he remembers his dying girlfriend uttered in his ears - Ghajini. During the hunt of Ghajini, he meets with sunita who helps him to find Kalpana's killers. During Gajini's hunt, Sanjay encounters with several obstacles and finally finds himself is that Killer.

Jumbo

After the huge success of HUNUMAAN, new animated movie JUMBO finally hit theaters. This movies has DESI TADKA through its song "everythings gonna be alright" thait is featuring on Akshay Kumar. Akshay Kumar as Jumbo is a naughty jungle elephant who is curious about his missing father. Finally he leaves his herd to find his father. Thus begin his journey to his destiny.


Dimple Kapadia as Devi is a protective mother of Jumbo. She hates humans and is on guard every minute to secure her son from the jabs of humans. However, she could not void Jumbo's destiny of fame, love and vengeance.

Lara Dutta as Sonia is Jumbo's love interest. Initially Jumbo is upset with her because he thinks that she's a trickster but eventually their relationship blossoms into pure love.

Rajpal Yadav as Dildaar is jumbo's partner and a messenger bird from the army. This character will surely make your kids roll with laughter.


Gulshan Grover as Bakhtavar is the vilan of the story and Jumbo's only enemy. Bakhtavar is the Royal Elephant of the opposing army. He is the one who killed Jumbo's father.

Asrani as Sikandar is an aged Royal Elephant who had fought the war along with Jumbo's father. It is he who helps Jumbo make his final decision.


Story of jumbo

The story of Jumbo resolves around a blue baby elephant named Jumbo who wanders away from his parents. Young Jumbo is often taunted by the other elephants because he is fatherless. This initiates his journey in search of his father who is a war elephant for the king. Jumbo is naturally curious about his father, and he told me that his father is a war elephant for the king. So Jumbo wants to find his father. Still a young elephant, he wanders off in search of his father.

During his search, Jumbo meets up with a kindly elephant trainer, a hyperactive messenger bird and a female elephant, who becomes his sweetheart later. Subsequently, Jumbo becomes a war elephant and defends his kingdom against the evil opponents. Jumbo is soon captured by a raiding party. In trying to escape from the camp, the young elephant is befriended by a boy prince, who has been ransomed to his foes. A weakened Jumbo then comes from a village where people and elephants to cooperate. He is befriended by a beautiful young elephant cow, but was then shackled until he is Tamed.

One day king announces the need of elephants for his army. Jumbo is taken to the palace. There, he sees his mother, who calls out to him. At the sight of his mother Jumbo goes wild and tries to break free from his chains to meet her. The worthy King notices this, and remembers Jumbo from his childhood. He calms Jumbo and announces that he would be the personal war elephant of the king. In the vigorous battle between the armies, Jumbo meets a giant war elephant with fiery eyes that was responsible for the death of his father. Jumbo takes this advantage to acquit himself in battle for the glory of the kingdom and take revenge of his fathers death.

After blowing the victory trumpet, the kingdom rejoices the great triumph of history. At the end, Jumbo is released to the wild to spend the rest of his life with the ones he loves. JUMBO has the trappings of a typical Hindi film. There's revenge, romance, emotions, action... plus, the voiceovers by several top names, besides a song and scenes featuring Akshay Kumar.
